Uniform Commercial Code (UCC)
Revised NC General Statutes 25 - Article 9
Effective July 1, 2001
Only UCC Originals & Amendments (including Terminations) whose collateral includes Fixtures, Timber to be cut,
or as-extracted collateral will be filed in the local Register of Deeds Office. All other original and amended UCC's
(including Terminations) are to be filed at the Secretary
of State.
Local filing offices will no longer perform searches on UCC's filed after June 30, 2001. UCC's to be filed in the
local filing office may be mailed to our office:

Uniform Commercial Code Fees - County Level
Fees for Original UCC's, Corrections, Amendments and Terminations
- 1 or 2 pages - $38
- 3 - 10 pages - $45
- over 10 pages - $45 + $2 per page over 10
- Copy of filed paper - $1 per page
- Certificate of Information - UCC 11 search
(only records filed prior to 7-1-2001) - $30 per debtor name
- Computerized list of index entries - $30
