Teen Iniative Project (TIP)
The Teen Initiative Project (TIP) is a program for youth between the ages of 9 and
21, in schools, churches and any other community organization. TIP focuses on topics
addressing adolescent development such as:
- Puberty
- Hygiene
- Self-Esteem
- Abstinence
- Human Sexuality
- Family Planning
- Communication Skills
Benefits of TIP
Everyday, young adults are faced with challenges that constantly test their character.
Taking part in TIP enhances coping strategies for peer pressure; develops refusal
skills; and gives participating youth an understanding of sexuality, mental health,
substance abuse and gang awareness.
This is an opportunity for you to become peer counselors. You will be able to educate
your friends and community members on how to make responsible decisions. Why settle
for the sidelines? Be a player on the “A” Team!
TIP Can Come to You!
Schools
Our TIP coordinator has been authorized by Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools

Community Organizations
TIP will present at any community organization with a TIP audience (pre-teens and
teens). Simply contact the TIP Coordinator and request a presentation for the date(s)
and topic(s) of your choice. TIP makes it happen! TIP can be scheduled as a one time
