Deputy Jeffrey M. Boysel has been named Sworn Staff Member of the Year for a selfless act of courage where he put his life at risk to save the lives of others.

PFC Reynolds has been named Detention Staff Member of the Year for a selfless act of courage where he put his life at risk to save the life of a fellow staff member.

Holly Sykes has been named Civilain Staff Member of the Year for her continued high standards of service to the citizens of Forsyth County and to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Sergeant D. Huttar and Sergeant T. Anderson are recipients of the 2011 Rufus Dalton Award. Forsyth County Sheriff William T. Schatzman presented the award on Friday, May 11th, 2012.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 975 is currently seeking qualified female applicants that are interested in learning about a career in law enforcement by becoming a member of the Explorer program.

After 18 years of service to Forsyth County, Corporal Billy Huie has retired from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

After 14 years of service to Forsyth County, Deputy Randy Dowell has retired from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

On Friday, February 24th, the Forsyth County DWI Task Force was awarded the “Heart of MADD” award for their outstanding work in the fight against drunk driving.

On March 29, 2012, eight students successfully completed FCSO Citizens’ Patrol Academy training. The graduates were honored at a graduation ceremony and presented with their graduation certificates by Sheriff Schatzman.

After 20 years of service to Forsyth County, Captain Donna Holmes retired from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office on February 29, 2012.

On March 17th, 2012, The North Carolina Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) recognized the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office for its outstanding support of the National Guard and Reserve for the 2011 awards period.
