Obtaining Copies
Various real estate and business papers are recorded in the Register of Deeds office
such as Deeds, Deeds of Trust, Assignments, Leases, Powers of Attorney, Business
Names, etc. Copies of recorded documents can be obtained in person or by mail from
the Register of Deeds office.
The law requires that we receive copy fees in advance (see
fees page). DO NOT SEND CASH. We do not accept personal checks or
debit/credit cards. A cashiers check or money order payable to the Register of Deeds
is required. A self-addressed stamped envelope will ensure prompt return. We try
to answer written requests within two days of receipt. Mail the fee with your request
to our office.
