Obtaining a Copy
Copies of recorded instruments can be obtained in person or by mail from the Register of Deeds office. The law
requires that we receive copy fees in advance. Do not send cash. A check or money order payable
to the Register of Deeds is preferred. There will be a $25 fee for returned checks. A self-addressed envelope will
ensure prompt return. We try to answer written requests within two days of receipt.
