International Travel Immunization Clinic
This clinic is temporarily closed due to a nursing shortage.
The International Travel Immunization Clinic provides vaccines recommended or required for international travel to children and adults. Registered
nurses advise clients based on Centers for Disease Control recommendations and administer all necessary vaccines.
Prescriptions for malaria medication are not provided, although printed recommendations for malaria prophylaxis are given. This prescription must be
obtained from a private physician.
Who is Eligible
Children or adults who are preparing for international travel. You do not have to be a resident of Forsyth County or N. C.
to visit this clinic.
Cost
Charges for vaccines vary (see attached price list). Payment must be made by check or cash at the time of the visit. An itemized receipt is provided for submission by the patient to insurance
providers if charges are covered.
Appointments
Appointments are required and may be made by calling (336) 703-3184, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Travelers should be seen at least 4-6 weeks
prior to departure; therefore, they should call to schedule their appointment 6-8 weeks ahead. Since the nurse covering this clinic may be with other clients
or covering another clinic, a message must usually be left on the answering machine and will be returned as soon as possible.
