Shelters must be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance. Due to necessary preparation, we cannot accommodate requests for reservations less than 2 weeks prior to an event.

Features Shelter with lighting, a spacious play area, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and next to public playground and 6 public picnic tables

Other Notes
  • Wood and charcoal are not provided.
  • If you have food catered, there is a 10% catering fee for caterers not on the preferred caterers list (available from events' office).
  • You may add a hayride to your event for $125. Call 766-9540 for more information or to schedule ride.
  • Sporting equipment is available from the Front Gate with a $20 deposit. Deposit is refunded when equipment is returned.
  • There is an additional fee if tents are put up in shelter area.
  • The playground next to the shelter is a public playground and will be open to others during your event.
  • No rain dates are available.

General Park Information

  • Tanglewood is open daily from 7:00 am – Sunset (except on Christmas Day).
  • Pets must be under control of their owner and kept on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. All pets must have current inoculations for rabies. Pets must be kept and never left unattended. Pet owners are responsible for their pets using the designated waste area and cleaning up after their pets at the designated area.
  • Golf, Horse Stables, Hiking Trails and Accommodations are available year-around.
  • Gardens are open year-around. Blooming seasons vary.
  • Tennis activities are available from April to November.
  • Water activities can be enjoyed from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
  • Entrance Fee:
    • $8.00 - Buses
    • $2.00 - All others
    Annual passes can be purchased at the Front Gate or Welcome Center for $25.00. Entrance fees & Annual Admission do not include Admission to Special Events.
