Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Join the Carolinas Raleigh Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at Tanglewood Park on Saturday, April 28, 2012 for the annual Great Strides walk!

On-site registration begins at 8 am at Shelter 4 with the walk beginning at 9 am.

Great Strides is a nationally held walk in its 24th year that benefits critical cystic fibrosis research, education, and care programs. Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects 30,000 adults and children in the United States and 70,000 people worldwide. Funds raised through Great Strides have helped spur dramatic advances in cystic fibrosis research and care.

General Park Information

  • Pets must be under control of their owner and kept on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. All pets must have current inoculations for rabies. Pets must be kept and never left unattended. Pet owners are responsible for their pets using the designated waste area and cleaning up after their pets at the designated area.
  • Golf, Horse Stables, Hiking Trails and Accommodations are available year-around.
  • Gardens are open year-around. Blooming seasons vary.
  • Tennis activities are available from April to November.
  • Water activities can be enjoyed from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
  • Entrance Fee:
    • $8.00 - Passenger Vans and Buses
    • $2.00 - All other vehicles
    Annual passes can be purchased at the Welcome Center for $50.00 for passenger vans and buses and $25.00 for all other vehicles. Entrance fees and annual passes do not include admission to special events.
