Timeline
On any long journey it's wise to stop along the way to reflect upon where you have been. It is only then that the
bits and pieces of your travels come clearly into focus and you understand where you have been. The same holds true
for the Library as we pause to reflect upon a hundred years of service to Forsyth County.
Looking back over our
history, it is inspiring to see how the determination of one man, John Cameron Buxton, to establish a free circulating
Library for the community has evolved into the Forsyth County Library System. It is equally exciting to see how we have
grown in size and in resources to meet the changing needs of the community. Thanks for a wonderful first one hundred
years Forsyth County, and here's looking forward to a new century of service.
