Registering for a Library Card
Residents of Forsyth County and 14 nearby counties* can get a FREE library card. Residents of other counties may
obtain a card for a $10 annual fee. Just stop by the circulation desk at any of 10 branches of the Forsyth County Public Library. All you need is proof of identity and your current address
(a valid driver's license is ideal or another form of picture id). If your address is different than what's on your
driver's license, then we ask that you provide another document with your current address such as two current pieces
of mail or a personal check.
